Who We Are

Verve has created a more efficient and privacy-focused way to buy and monetize advertising. Verve is an ecosystem of demand and supply technologies fusing data, media, and technology together to deliver results and growth to both advertisers and publishers–no matter the screen or location, no matter who, what, or where a customer is. With offices across the globe and with an eye on servicing forward-thinking advertising customers, Verve’s solutions are trusted by more than 90 of the United States’ top 100 advertisers, 4,000 publishers globally, and the world’s top demand-side platforms. Dataseat is a privacy-first, ID-less contextual performance DSP built for user acquisition. We have deep mobile UA expertise namely in iOS and also Android, and our contextual approach works well across CTV too.  We optimize past installs to the outcomes app advertisers actually care about, including cost per paid subscription or purchase.

We're looking for a NYC-based seller to win new app advertisers and grow Dataseat’s (dataseat.com) presence across NYC agencies. You'll report to the Head of Sales and own new-logo business from first meeting through campaign launch and initial testing.  This is an in-market, relationship-led role. We use technology to work smarter, but deals here are won in person: at agency offices, client meetings, industry events and on stage.

What You Will Do

  • Prospect and close new app advertisers and launch their first Dataseat campaigns
  • Build and deepen relationships across holding company agencies and independent performance agencies
  • Run a full sales cycle: discovery, pitch, test design, launch, and hand-off to our Growth and Customer Success teams
  • Partner with MMPs and measurement partners to co-sell and to design clean, credible tests
  • Represent Dataseat at industry events, conferences and networking dinners, including speaking on panels and stages
  • Bring market feedback to Product and Leadership on what advertisers and agencies need
  • Keep your pipeline current in Salesforce and report on it weekly

What We Will Need

  • 10+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally in ad tech
  • 5+ years selling in the DSP or performance marketing space
  • A strong grasp of the Mobile media landscape
  • Existing relationships with non-gaming app advertisers
  • Relationships across both holding company agencies and independent performance agencies
  • A working understanding of mobile user acquisition: how UA teams set goals, buy media and judge partners
  • Familiarity with mobile measurement partners (MMPs) such as AppsFlyer, Adjust and Singular, and how attribution shapes a test
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Comfort speaking at industry events and commanding a room, from a client pitch to a conference stage

Nice To Have

  • Experience with iOS UA and privacy-era measurement such as SKAdNetwork
  • A track record selling to apps on down-funnel goals like paid subscriptions and purchases, not just installs
  • Experience opening new markets or new verticals for a growing company

What We Offer

Some company benefits include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus mental health resources
  • 401(k) match and generous PTO
  • Pre-tax FSA and HSA plans for Healthcare, Dependent care, and Commuting
  • Paid Parental Leave for life’s important milestones
  • Hybrid work environment (NYC office)
  • Free lunch for onsite team members in NYC

Greater NY-area Residents: We currently have a hybrid remote work policy. All Verve employees living within a 90-minute (one way) commute of our NYC office are expected to be in the office three days per week.

We’re open to allowing the right person to learn our industry on the job. We welcome diversity and non-traditional paths into all of our roles. We believe in hiring the right person as opposed to the right combination of keywords.
