Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer contractor with experience in large-scale applications, enterprise solutions, and performance optimization. Your primary focus will be conducting a comprehensive code assessment of a native Android project, evaluating its structure, scalability, and architecture. 

This role requires a proactive engineer who can take ownership of performance assessment initiatives while ensuring scalability and architectural efficiency.

You will be a key lead for the Android track in a workshop with the engineering team and key stakeholders to review assessment findings and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an in-depth code assessment of the native Android project.
• Evaluate the project's structure, scalability, and architecture.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and provide optimization strategies.
• Lead a workshop with the engineering team and stakeholders to review findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with native Android development.
• Strong background in app optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience working with large-scale applications and enterprise projects.
• Proven ability to lead Android-focused assessments and workshops.
• Expertise in performance measurement tools for native Android.
• Understanding of best practices in software engineering and architecture.
• Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.

Contract details

• Location: U.S., Texas, Dallas Fort-Worth 
• Contract duration: 11 weeks (with potential extension)
• Tentative start date: May 19th, 2025. 
• Required: availability to work during United States Central time zones.
