This role requires a strong client services orientation and product management skills, ideally from a consultancy, agency, professional services, or systems integrator environment. You must excel at developing trusted relationships with client stakeholders, influencing product roadmap decision-making with clarity, and steering delivery execution in environments with complex dependencies and competing priorities.
As a Lead Program Manager, you will oversee program leadership and governance product development vision and ceremonies, ensure transparency of timelines and budgets, communicate strategically and proactively manage risk and dependencies. You will also shape delivery management standards, mentor other delivery leaders, and elevate delivery maturity across accounts.
Experience in automotive, mobility, or connected vehicle platforms is required, particularly where digital interfaces meet enterprise or legacy system ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of multi-team, multi-workstream programs from initiation through completion.
- Develop and maintain program timelines, roadmaps, forecasts, and communication frameworks.
- Execute the hard skills of product management as needed - crafting client roadmaps, writing tickets, definition of done and managing a product backlog - but more frequently acting as a strategic leader to help prioritize feature development against business goals, align stakeholders and guide internal decision-making around product execution and development.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, product, design, and client stakeholders to establish clear priorities and decision pathways.
- Monitor program financials, track budget utilization, and provide proactive reporting on trends or risks.
- Set and reinforce delivery expectations, operating rhythms, and communication cadences across teams.
- Facilitate direct collaboration between internal teams and client teams—avoiding bottlenecks or gatekeeping.
- Implement Agile delivery practices at scale and coach cross-functional teams on collaboration and workflow.
- Identify and resolve cross-program dependencies, sequencing issues, staffing needs, or risk exposures.
- Run executive-level reporting, steering committees, and stakeholder communications.
- Mentor program and project managers; support leveling up delivery practices and artifacts.
- Support account teams in identifying extension, expansion, or optimization opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators
- Programs delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Client satisfaction and stakeholder trust.
- Clarity and predictability of reporting and delivery execution.
