Who Are We Looking For?

As a critical member of both the FP&A team and cross-functional partner to the sales leadership team, you will be a strategic partner to GTM functions at Vestwell. You will drive decision making by improving visibility into business performance, leveraging data-driven insights to assist sales in achieving targets in order to shape Vestwell’s long term trajectory. You’ll also play a key role in pricing and support enterprise deal positioning. The role will also manage sales commission programs to ensure there is alignment between incentives and performance.  

This is a demanding, high-visibility role supporting a fast-moving sales team - you’ll need to bring stamina, exceptional business judgment, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You should be highly analytical and have a track record as an exceptional collaborator and communicator, bringing past experiences of identifying complex business problems and developing action plans to address. This role will be based in our New York HQ, and will have one direct report.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Partner closely with GTM functions as their embedded finance lead – providing strategic support, insights and advice in a dynamic, execution-heavy environment
  • Build and own financial frameworks/models that support resource allocation, planning, and decision-making across GTM
  • Guide sales and marketing in assessing ROI tradeoffs across various initiatives
  • Drive forecast processes and annual planning cycles for the GTM function
  • Manage execution of monthly sales commission program; continue to refine program design ensuring alignment with performance goals and strategy
  • Lead pricing for Vestwell’s Workplace business; own modeling, and unit-level assumptions. Advise on strategic positioning and provide pricing support on strategic partnership opportunities to creatively solve client needs while also achieving internal financial targets

Requirements

  • Have experience in investment banking, consulting, FP&A, strategic finance or similar analytical roles (likely 5-8+ years) 
  • Have 2+ years of strategically supporting and partnering with GTM functions, ideally with B2B enterprise SaaS experience 
  • Possess exceptional business judgment and strong logical, and critical thinking
  • Are very comfortable with modeling, and creating financial and data-driven analysis
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships, and influence decision making
  • Relentlessly detail oriented, coupled with the ability to uplevel and simplify
  • Scrappy, adaptable, resourceful, and energized by building in ambiguity

This role will be based in Vestwell’s New York City HQ, and will be expected to report to the office in a hybrid schedule (4x per week)

The expected base salary range for this position is a minimum of $140K - $150K, plus performance based bonus. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
