Who Are We Looking For?
The Platform Engagement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring both newly onboarded and existing clients fully realize the value of the Vestwell platform. The role focuses on reviewing client adoption and engagement metrics to identify and remediate gaps in platform utilization—particularly opportunities to increase employee participation in workplace retirement savings plans—and then work with individual clients as well as roll out programmatic strategies to increase utilization.
This position requires a proactive, data-driven problem solver who understands client engagement, operational strategy, and platform adoption tactics. You should be adept at identifying challenges and creating tailored solutions to achieve agreed-upon KPIs. You need to be willing and able to analyze data as well as engage directly with our clients.
A person who would thrive in this role is a structured problem solver who can quickly get to the heart of an issue, is facile with a spreadsheet, and is scrappy, self-starter, determined, logical, and analytical. You must have the interpersonal skills, tenacity, and common sense to be an agent of change, both internally and with our clients. In this role, you will be given agency to devise a strategy and approach for achieving your goals, requiring you to exercise good judgment and independently drive results.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Client Engagement Analysis: Monitor and analyze client adoption of the Vestwell platform, with a focus on employee participation and contribution rates.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify clients with suboptimal platform engagement and assess the underlying causes, such as plan configuration issues, employer support gaps, or employee awareness challenges.
- Remediation Strategies: Develop and execute action plans to address low adoption rates, owning communication campaigns end-to-end, platform features, or operational adjustments.
- Data-Driven Insights: Track, analyze, and report key utilization metrics, creating dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Client Advisory: Consult with clients on best practices for driving employee participation and optimizing plan configurations. Providing resources, toolkits, and offering enrollment meeting. Creating playbooks from learned practices to allow for scalability across our platform.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and program manage scalable improvements to processes, technology, and engagement strategies based on client feedback and data insights.
- Client Profitability Remediation: Work through the sponsor revenue and expense model to validate loss leaders. Identify and present remediation steps to improve profitability including payroll or operational changes, fee increases or termination of the relationship.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability and flexibility to seamlessly transition between projects and workflows, contributing to various teams as needed to meet evolving business needs and priorities.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in client engagement, business operations, product adoption, or strategic consulting.
- Strong understanding of retirement savings platforms, SaaS solutions, or financial services technology.
- Proven track record of analyzing client behavior and driving data-informed improvements.
- Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives to improve client outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Self-starter mentality, you are someone who will dive into whatever challenge is placed in front of you and find creative ways to solve problems.
Preferred
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS enterprise or fintech startup.
- Familiarity with retirement plan administration and workplace benefits.
- Comfort with data analysis tools and CRM systems.
This role will be based in either the New York City, Austin, King of Prussia office, and will be part of Vestwell's hybrid in-office operation.
The expected base salary range for this position is $70K - $80K base. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
