Veterinarian - New Grads or Experienced
30th Street Animal Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking two full-time small-animal veterinarians—one to support growth and one to replace a long-tenured partner who is retiring—to provide medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats in a collaborative, appointment-based general practice (GP). Ideal candidates are comfortable with dentistry and routine soft-tissue surgery, communicate clearly with clients, and enjoy practicing gold-standard medicine.
New graduates are encouraged to apply and will enter a structured, hospital-led first-year mentorship program, along with enrollment in VPP Academy—a week-long immersive course in Las Vegas that builds skills in clinical communication, canine/feline dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, leadership, and the business of veterinary medicine.
Experienced doctors seeking a long-term home are equally welcome. Leadership and partnership opportunities are available—but never required—as a long-tenured partner prepares for retirement.

About 30th Street Animal Hospital
30th Street Animal Hospital is a progressive, relationship-centered small-animal GP serving East Indianapolis and Lawrence. Our ~6,000 sq ft modern hospital pairs gold-standard medicine with practical, budget-aware options and thoughtful follow-through—every patient receives a next-day callback, and we’re known for the compassion behind our sympathy and support cards.
Our facility features six exam rooms, a large surgical suite with two tables and full anesthesia monitoring (electrocautery and active suction), a brand-new isolation ward, and separate treatment areas for dogs and cats. We have modern tools, such as EzyVet PIMS with remote access, the Weave phone system, IDEXX in-house lab, digital full-body and dental radiography, ultrasound (cart and handheld), therapeutic laser, and EKG; a visiting cardiology service provides echocardiograms twice per month. We also use ScribbleVet AI to speed documentation.
We’re appointment-based with 30-minute doctor visits from 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., a protected 12–2 p.m. window for lunch, learning, and procedures, and 15-minute technician appointments (2 per hour). We accept walk-ins/work-ins for established sick pets and drop-offs, plus we see daytime urgent cases. Stable pets may be hospitalized overnight with owner consent (building unstaffed); unstable or oxygen-dependent cases transfer to trusted ER/specialty partners such as IndyVet. There’s no on-call. Services span preventive care, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, ultrasonography, laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, and membership plans—with $1 first-time exams welcoming new clients.
Culture, Team & Fit
Our culture is collaborative, kind, and low-ego. Daily 8:45 a.m. huddles, weekly all-staff and DVM meetings, and open-door case consults keep medicine aligned. A dedicated floater manages day-of capacity, and techs work to the top of their license. The practice has served this community for decades, holds a 4.8-star reputation and a Neighborhood Clinic Choice award, and has been VPP-partnered since 2022—offering real leadership and partnership pathways. Clinicians who thrive here are collaborative communicators who enjoy dentistry and soft-tissue surgery, practice gold-standard care while meeting clients where they are, and value a warm, team-first environment.
Mentorship & Growth
New graduates receive a structured ramp: start with 60-minute appointments, progress to 45, then 30 minutes by ~six months. You’ll rotate in rooms and surgery with multiple doctors, have daily check-ins, and use our protected noon window for learning. You’ll also access VPP Academy and peer groups. Early goals include unassisted spay/neuter, basic mass removals, confident dental radiograph capture and interpretation, solid urgent-care triage, and clear transfer summaries.
