Kennel Technician

Location: Newport Veterinary Hospital, Rock Hill SC

Salary: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

We’re looking for someone who’s motivated, reliable, and totally crazy about animals to join our team as a Kennel Technician! This isn’t just a “clean-up-after-pets” job — it’s a chance to make a difference, help us grow our boarding program, and become part of a fun, supportive crew.

Schedule: This is a part time position. Schedule is 7:30-6pm with lunch from 1:30-3pm. Rotating weekends- weekend shift is shorter
Sat 7:30-12 then 4-6
Sunday 7:30-9:30 then 4-6

 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Feeding, walking, and giving love to dogs and cats
• Keeping their spaces clean, safe, and comfy
• Watching for any signs of illness or stress and alerting the team
• Helping with baths, nail trims, and giving medications
• Being the friendly face pet parents see at drop-off & pick-up
• Potential to grow and develop veterinary assistant skills or a leadership role in the kennel

What We’re Looking For:

• You LOVE animals — all kinds, all sizes
• You’re self-motivated and can get stuff done without constant supervision
• You’re cool with cleaning, moving around a lot, and getting a little dirty
• You’re team-oriented but comfortable working independently
• You’re interested in animal care and veterinary medicine
• You’re available for weekend and holiday shifts when scheduled
