Kennel Technician
Hoffman Animal Hospital – Annapolis, MD

Hoffman Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Kennel Technician to join our team! Our hospital provides veterinary care as well as boarding for dogs and cats and doggy daycare. We are looking for a dependable, energetic individual who is passionate about animal care and committed to providing a safe, clean, and loving environment for pets.

Pay: $15–18/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Set weekly schedule with one weekend day required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and monitoring behavior

  • Supervise doggy daycare playgroups to ensure safe, positive interactions

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for all pets

  • Bathe animals as needed

  • Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or injury and promptly alert veterinary staff

  • Follow established cleaning and safety protocols

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6+ hours per shift)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with both dogs and cats

  • Reliable and dependable attendance

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Prior animal care experience
