Veterinary Technician/Assistant (Monday – Friday)

Our hospital is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team and work in all areas of the hospital. The ideal candidate is a team oriented individual who is eager to provide outstanding patient care and customer service.

Our hospital is open Monday – Friday only. NO weekends.

Our beautiful building offers 5 exam rooms, a roomy shared front office space, a well-equipped lab area, a spacious treatment area, private cat kennels, a large surgery suite, top of the line radiology technology, and a relaxing kitchen and living room for our staff to decompress over lunch breaks.

Candidate must have the ability to perform the following tasks independently (under the direction of the veterinarian):

  • Venipuncture
  • Lab testing and preparation (includes but not limited to CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, blood smears, ear smear and cytology, fecal flotation, blood pressures, EKG)
  • Digital radiographs
  • Administer vaccinations and other SQ, IM, and IV injections
  • Perform prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • IV catheter placement
  • IV fluid therapy and in-patient treatment
  • Knowledge of canine/feline annual wellness and prevention protocols
  • Surgical technician experience - administer and monitor anesthesia, calculate anesthetic protocols, intubation, sterile procedure, surgical tool sterilization and preparation, assist surgeon during select surgical procedures
  • Front office experience
