Role & Responsibilities: 

VP of Engineering reporting directly to Co-Founder and CEO Tarun Thakur, the VP of Engineering will:

  • Scale the engineering organization from 80 to 300+ team members while ensuring  innovation velocity and resource optimization—expanding existing teams and building new ones where needed.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing engineering management bench, including engineering managers and technical directors, with a focus on short-term execution, product innovations, long-term mindset and do-it mindset.

  • Implement best-in-class engineering processes and workflows that support efficient development, on-time product delivery, high-quality deliverables, and hands-on management of customers.

  • Drive engineering teams to deliver critical technical milestones that enable product expansion, meet evolving customer requirements, and support seamless scalability during hyper-growth.
  • Foster a strong, inclusive engineering culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Define and track key performance metrics and create transparent career development paths to support retention and long-term team success.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to partner deeply and align with product teams, CS teams, support teams, and other functional groups.  Managing expectations and priorities effectively within a fast paced and competitive environment.

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
