Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

The purpose of this role is to elevate VGW’s Business Intelligence maturity to a proactive level by spearheading the development of foundational assets for the new BI framework and championing the adoption of BI policies and procedures throughout the organisation.

 Key responsibilities will include:

• Be a key player in adopting and establishing the new target state framework & governance for end-to-end reporting, tooling integration and self-service BI products.
• Work with reporting tool representatives to create and maintain high standards for preferred policies and procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the FinCorp Tribe’s dash-boarding and reporting needs.
• Generate ad hoc reports for the Finance team based on stakeholder requests.
• Provide guidance to leadership with the goal to design Business Intelligence/ Data Source solutions, including life-cycle development of BI standards, templates and procedures. 
• Work with other data teams and key stakeholders to collect requirements and define reporting standards in order to create robust and timely product KPI dashboards, reports and self-service BI tools
• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. 
• Design, implement, and maintain dashboards in Tableau.

What you will bring to the role:

• A Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Engineering, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to create and review queries.
• 5 + years experience as a BI Analyst.
• Problem-solving skills to identify pain points and recurring concerns. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
