We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team based in Sydney and are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team.
This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Manager in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial information. With a primary focus on financial reporting and operational finance. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with various business units to support financial operations and drive continuous improvements in accounting processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Monthly reporting, vendor management, intercompany reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Vendor management including review and verification of invoices captured for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee bank account setups, user access, and other banking-related operational tasks.
- Prepare the monthly accruals schedule and journal entries for all Australian entities.
- Conduct detailed monthly cost analysis; identifying trends, flagging and investigating any discrepancies.
- Business partnering with the Procurement team to optimise financial processes and vendor management.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements.
- Provide NetSuite system support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance functionality for finance users.
- Assist in special projects, providing analytical and financial expertise as required.
What you will bring to the role:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance.
- CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA certified.
- 5+ years of overall accounting and finance experience.
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information to stakeholders.
- In depth technical knowledge of IFRS, AASB and other financial regulations.
- Self-motivated, a team player and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
