We are seeking a talented Business Operations & Compliance Lead with 3-5 years of hands-on experience to support our internal small business operations. This full-time W2 position is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and has the vision to build systems from the ground up while directly partnering with leadership to guide the company’s growth.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Business Operations & Compliance Lead to oversee Via Logic’s internal operations. This role’s primary focus is cross-functional business operations, compliance management, and process creation, with talent acquisition as a secondary responsibility. You will be responsible for managing key business operations functions, ensuring effective coordination across teams, and management initiatives. This is the perfect opportunity for a team member with strong organizational and communication skills, who excels in managing business processes, coordinating resources, and building an engaged and high-performing team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Support strategic recruiting efforts for key hires and proposal staffing needs. Develop candidate pipelines and collaborate with managers on retention strategies to maintain a strong and engaged team.
  • Process Creation & Improvement: Identify gaps in current workflows and proactively design scalable processes to improve efficiency across departments. Use tools such as QuickBooks Projects and Monday.com to manage tracking, reporting, and decision-making for company operations.
  • Team Communication & Engagement : Facilitate regular leadership and team meetings, improve internal communication, and plan team-building activities, workshops, and events that strengthen collaboration and company culture.
  • Resource & Asset Management: Maintain accurate tracking of internal resources, including equipment, software, and contract-related assets. Ensure proper allocation and oversight to maximize resource utilization.

Your Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience leading business operations in a small business or startup environment, ideally within federal contracting or compliance-driven industries.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to create and implement new processes across multiple departments (finance, contracts, BD, HR, delivery, recruiting).
    • Experience managing compliance programs, including knowledge of OFCCP, FAR, or other federal regulations.
    • Proficiency with operational tools such as QuickBooks Projects and Monday.com (or similar).
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently, make decisions without constant direction, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred
    • Prior experience working directly with federal contracting compliance teams or managing audit readiness.
    • Hands-on experience with financial tracking and budget reporting for a small business.
    • Exposure to proposal staffing and rapid hiring strategies for government contracts.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
