About the Role:

 

Via Logic LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer – Platform Administrator (SME Level: Network and Computer Systems Administrator) to manage and optimize enterprise endpoint and platform infrastructure across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.

This role focuses on enterprise device management, configuration management, patching, imaging, and platform reliability, ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available Windows endpoints and associated backend services through tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Intune, and Azure.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with MECM, Windows platform engineering, endpoint automation, and enterprise patching at scale, along with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement skills in a federal environment.

Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of technical supporting enterprise IT platforms, endpoint engineering, or configuration management in large, regulated environments
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND RESIDE IN THE U.S. All work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust security clearance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain MECM/SCCM infrastructure for software distribution, patching, imaging, and endpoint lifecycle management across hybrid environments
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Windows 10/11 images using zero-touch provisioning and automated workflows
  • Manage enterprise patching, baseline hardening, and compliance across Windows endpoints using MECM, WSUS, and cloud-integrated tooling
  • Integrate MECM with Intune, Azure, and Microsoft 365 to streamline endpoint management and security posture
  • Monitor endpoint health, application performance, and platform reliability; serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex issues
  • Automate administrative and deployment processes using PowerShell, scripting, and configuration tools
  • Perform application packaging, testing, and deployment via Software Center and enterprise toolsets
  • Maintain accurate documentation, configuration baselines, and change records in alignment with ITIL and federal best practices
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and platform continuity for endpoint services
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership on MECM and Windows platform operations
  • Collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure compliance with DHS and USCIS standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Windows platform engineering, endpoint management, or enterprise systems administration
  • MECM/SCCM experience including: OS deployment, application packaging, patch management, hardware/software inventory, imaging and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Intune, Azure, and Microsoft 365 in hybrid enterprise environments
  • Working knowledge of ITIL, change management, and incident/problem management
  • Familiarity with network security, patch management, and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • U.S. Citizenship required (Public Trust eligibility).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (Intune/MECM)
  • CompTIA Security+ or Network+
  • AWS or Azure Administrator Certification
