VIC the PICC (“VTP”) is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting.  VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

As a Collections Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by recovering overdue payments and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding accounts. You will work directly with customers to negotiate repayment plans, encourage alternative payment solutions, and ensure that outstanding debts are resolved efficiently. This temporary, 3-month position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, problem-solving, and professionalism is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Track and manage overdue accounts to recover outstanding balances.
  • Customer Interaction: Contact debtors via phone, email, and mail to discuss payment status and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Payment Negotiation: Work with customers to develop realistic payment solutions, including settlements or structured payment plans.
  • Debt Recovery: Locate and communicate with individuals or businesses responsible for unpaid bills, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of collection efforts, payment agreements, and customer interactions.
  • Compliance & Professionalism: Ensure all collection activities align with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related financial roles.
    • Experience in medical billing, healthcare collections, or financial services preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
    • Experience with accounting, billing, or CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to remain professional and patient in difficult conversations.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Temporary position: 3-month contract with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
  • Full-Time: 5 days per week, Monday through Friday
  • This position is located on-site at our headquarters in Lodi, California.

Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$18 - $18 USD
