Program Analyst – Computer and Network Systems

This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute from Alexandria, Virginia.
About the Role:
Viderity is seeking a Program Analyst to support the Computer and Network Systems (CNS) unit within a major research institution's Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering. This position involves providing technical, analytical, and program management support, including data retrieval, scientific writing, and preparing presentations to ensure the effective execution of CNS-funded research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of solicitations and management plans.
- Create communication materials and presentations for various program events.
- Organize workshops, panels, and meetings for research program coordination.
- Retrieve and analyze research data to support funding decisions.
- Provide logistical coordination for review panels and site visits.
- Manage proposal reviews, track funding, and produce related documentation.
- Draft and edit scientific reports, newsletters, and briefing documents.
- Develop content for PI meetings, funding panels, and outreach activities.
- Compile and structure research highlights from funded projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience managing research projects, preferably in academia or federal settings.
- Strong analytical skills for data handling, review, and analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Experience with collaboration tools like Outlook, Zoom, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Box, Slack, and SharePoint.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a track record in scientific writing.
- Ability to work independently while managing coordination across stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with federal research funding and program management at similar institutions.
- Experience with project planning, data visualization, and workflow automation tools.
- Knowledge of how research proposals are submitted and reviewed.
- Capacity to innovate and improve operational efficiency.
Salary range: Salary Range: $85,000-115,000
