VP, Financial Operations

Reporting to the SVP, Controller, the Vice President of Finance Operations will be a highly operational and team-oriented leader within Vimeo's finance organization. This critical role will be responsible for managing high-volume finance process teams both in the US and internationally, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistent execution within the end-to-end quote to cash cycle. The VP will be instrumental in strengthening and systematically enforcing internal controls across these teams. We are seeking a strong people leader with a proven track record of effectively managing global employees, fostering strong employee relations, and driving team retention. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills, demonstrating a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various functions. Furthermore, this individual will be adept at developing and executing organizational alignment initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, a proactive approach to identifying potential issues, and the ability to deliver challenging news constructively while focusing on building solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership and management for high-volume finance operations teams located in the US and internationally, including deal desk operations, billing and collections.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely execution of all finance operations processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls across all finance operations functions, ensuring systematic adherence and compliance.
  • Lead the effort to establish and operationalize reporting of key operating metrics including bookings and other KPIs, driving standardization and efficiency.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing, fostering a positive and supportive work environment that promotes strong employee relations and retention.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Engineering, and Sales, to achieve mutual objectives and ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Develop and execute organizational alignment strategies to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall finance operations effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify potential operational risks and challenges, developing and implementing preventative measures and solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including delivering challenging news with a focus on collaborative problem-solving.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing finance operations processes and systems, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation for finance operations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to finance operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on finance operations performance to senior management.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, with a significant portion in leadership roles within technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and scaling high-volume finance operations teams across multiple locations, including international experience.
  • Proven ability to build and lead effective teams, fostering a positive work environment and driving employee engagement and retention.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Experience in establishing and managing shared services or centers of excellence.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and influence individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally and build strong collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement efficiency initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing career development programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Required experience with Salesforce, Zuora, and Zuora CPQ

Base Salary Range:

  • NYC Metro: $223,000 - $278,500
