Technical Delivery Lead
Technical Delivery Lead
Location: Bay Area (Hybrid – 1–2 days/week onsite, rest remote)
About Virtasant
Virtasant is a global technology services company with a network of over 4,000 professionals in 130+ countries. We specialize in cloud architecture, engineering, and transformation — helping enterprises deliver, scale, and build internal capability while reducing third-party dependency.
We work with ambitious, forward-thinking clients to solve real-world challenges through hands-on execution, deep technical expertise, and a delivery-led approach.
The Role
We’re looking for a delivery-first leader to join our Client Services team — someone who owns outcomes, builds trust with clients through great work, and drives long-term growth by delivering real results.
This is not an oversight role. It’s about being in the work — leading global technical teams, ensuring delivery lands, and driving growth through execution. You’ll be the face of Virtasant to a Fortune ZYX client, responsible for ensuring their developer community is enabled, supported, and thriving.
You’ll manage a global team of engineers supporting our client’s internal developer community — from onboarding to solving extremely complex platform issues at scale. To succeed, you’ll need to roll up your sleeves, know the work deeply, and build strong relationships with both technical and business stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
-
Own delivery across complex enterprise engagements, ensuring outcomes align with client goals.
-
Act as the primary liaison and advocate for client needs, building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders.
-
Lead and manage global engineering teams providing end-to-end developer support.
-
Dive deep into technical delivery — unblock issues, guide technical decisions, and ensure alignment.
-
Establish clear communication and reporting mechanisms focused on tangible client value.
-
Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for growth through delivery excellence.
-
Manage account operations including forecasting, procurement, invoicing, and staffing.
-
Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders — translating strategy into real outcomes.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
-
Has 5–10 years of experience managing and delivering large-scale technology projects, ideally in professional services.
-
Has a background in platform engineering, SRE, or SWE, and understands what it takes to own production systems.
-
Demonstrates success in managing client relationships, mitigating issues, and identifying growth opportunities.
-
Brings a strong understanding of cloud (primarily AWS) and modern engineering practices.
-
Can communicate complex ideas simply — distilling deep technical or analytical work into clear takeaways.
-
Thrives in fast-moving, global environments, balancing ambiguity with clarity and execution.
-
Is credible with both engineers and executives, and can keep both aligned.
-
Leads from the front — sleeves rolled up, delivery-first, outcome-driven.
Nice to Have
-
Experience building and managing engineering teams at scale.
-
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
-
Background in enterprise transformation or digital delivery.
-
Familiarity with FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Competitive base salary + benefits
-
Flexible, remote-first culture (with Bay Area client touchpoints 1–2 days per week).
-
High-trust, high-autonomy environment.
-
Work with a globally distributed, top-tier team.
