About Virtru:

Virtru is a leading data protection provider backed by some of the foremost venture capital firms in Silicon Valley and the Mid-Atlantic region, including Iconiq Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Foundry Capital, and Tiger Global. Today, more than ever, data demands respect, and that’s why Virtru is committed to changing the rules for data privacy. At Virtru, we equip our customers to take granular control of their data—everywhere it’s shared—through end-to-end encryption for Google, Microsoft, and other data sharing platforms. Our market-leading portfolio of data encryption and privacy enhancing applications are remarkably easy to use, fast to implement, affordable for all, and built on the Trusted Data Format (TDF) open standard.

At Virtru, our motto is "Respect the people. Respect the data." Respecting data to us means keeping it secure and protected at all times across its entire lifecycle. We firmly believe that when you respect data, you’re demonstrating respect for the people who own that data.

Working at Virtru, you'll be inspired by colleagues who are passionate about the work they do. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that sparks creativity, connection, and professional growth while empowering each other to do our best work. We're building something special at Virtru. We hope you consider joining our team and helping us create a brighter future for data privacy.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a visionary Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager who understands that the future of security isn't monolithic solutions — it's platforms that empower ecosystems.

Reporting to our SVP of Product Marketing, you'll shape how the world understands both our Data Security Platform and the revolutionary applications built on top of it. This is a rare opportunity to market technology that's not just solving today's problems but creating tomorrow's possibilities.

Your Mission

Platform Evangelism

  • Position Virtru as the foundational platform for data-centric security innovation
  • Build and nurture a narrative around our open TDF standard that attracts developers, partners, and innovators
  • Showcase how our platform approach makes traditional "walled garden" security obsolete

Ecosystem Development

  • Create programs that attract developers to build on our open platform
  • Develop technical content that demonstrates the power of our APIs and SDKs
  • Foster a community of innovators who see Virtru as their foundation for secure data sharing

Market Leadership

  • Position our "applications + platform" strategy as the future of enterprise security
  • Drive thought leadership that challenges the industry's "lock everything down" mentality
  • Build competitive differentiation around our unique open-core philosophy
  • Help enterprises understand why building on Virtru means never having to choose between security and functionality
  • Generate customer insights and collaborate with Product and Sales to define targets, personas, and buyer needs across enterprise and government sectors

Commercial Excellence

  • Own GTM strategy and execution for app and platform launches
  • Enable sales teams to articulate both immediate application value and long-term platform potential
  • Orchestrate launches that showcase new applications while reinforcing platform capabilities
  • Create materials that help partners and customers envision building their own solutions on our platform
  • Drive cross-functional commercial readiness with Product, Sales, and Customer Success, Services, and Operations
  • Shape pricing, packaging, and adoption strategies
  • Maintain vigilance over the competitive landscape. Report on key trends, shifts and competitor actions.

What You Bring

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years leading product marketing for enterprise security or platform technologies
  • Proven success in marketing both end-user applications and developer platforms
  • Deep understanding of API-first architectures, developer ecosystems, and platform economics
  • Experience with open standards and building communities around technical platforms
  • Track record of positioning disruptive technologies against incumbent solutions

Technical Fluency

  • Comfort discussing SDKs, APIs, and integration architectures
  • Understanding of zero-trust principles, data protection models, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to create content for audiences ranging from developers to CISOs

Platform Mindset

  • You see ecosystems, not just products
  • You understand how platforms create exponential value
  • You can articulate why open beats closed every time
  • You believe the best security enables rather than restricts

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
