The Virtu Latency Lab

Virtu is opening its Austin office doors for the first time to put local students' programming skills to the test. 

Students will partner up and go head-to-head, racing to build the most optimized solution to a real industry problem. But speed alone won't win the race- we're watching for how you think, not just what you build. This means looking for engineers who obsess over shaving milliseconds off latency, builders who can pivot when requirements change, and collaborators who make their entire team sharper. 

Winning teams will walk away with more than a cash prize, including mentorship by experts in the industry and a firsthand look at the grit and problem solving mindset it takes to break into the trading world.

 

Overview of the Program:

Date: Friday October 30th

8:00am-8:00pm

Location: Virtu Austin Office 

Accommodations provided: Meals, local transportation

 

Requirements:
Excellent academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, and Mathematics 

Must currently be a 2nd year undergraduate students with anticipated matriculation in Spring 2029

Intermediate/Advanced programming experience in C++

Interest in a career in financial services
