Business Development Representative

New York City (Hybrid)

What we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. The BDR will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads by researching, identifying, and qualifying potential organizations would benefit from Visia’s software
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate new leads
  • Set up meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with decision-makers and key stakeholders
  • Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to streamline GTM workflows, automate processes, and drive data accuracy
  • Travel to conferences, trade shows, on-sites, and relevant meetings; busy weeks may have 3 or more days on the road
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and progress in HubSpot CRM.
  • Collaborate with GTM to refine messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategies
  • Stay up to date on initiatives, trends, and industry regulations within the waste and recycling industry
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to identify new prospects and maximise opportunities
  • Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in the CRM
  • Collaborate with other members in the team and with senior leadership
  • Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation
  • Ambitious and creative, excited by a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Articulate, charismatic and confident in a customer-facing role; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to create and deploy automated email, LinkedIn, and other outbound campaigns
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and lead qualification techniques
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and lead management tools (specifically Hubspot and Apollo)
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, pipeline management, and automation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to inform marketing decisions. Ability to create and maintain reporting dashboards and analyze sales data.
  • Experience in dealing with enterprise clients and deal opportunities of over $100k
  • Demonstrate an ability to work directly with senior managers and C-level executives
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field

  • Experience in, or passion for, waste and recycling is a plus.

  • Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 OTE + options
