Sr. People Business Partner

Vancouver, BC, Canada

Visier is the leader in people analytics and we believe in a 'people-first' approach to business strategy. Our innovative technology transforms the way that organisations make decisions, allowing them to elevate their employees and drive better business outcomes.  Embarking on an exciting new chapter in our growth story, we are looking for talented individuals who can help both Visier and our customers grow, evolve and win!

Are you an experienced HR professional who loves operating as a strategic consultant to senior leaders? Do you apply a mix of best practices and your own creative problem solving to identify opportunities? Have you worked with go-to-market organizations in the past and get excited about helping them crush their targets? If so, we’d like to meet you!

Our team is growing and we are looking for a Senior People Business Partner to work with our go-to-market teams in North America and EMEA. Your client group spans multiple countries with a wide array of types of roles and a direct partnership with a mandate to support the development of a high performance sales culture. We’re looking for someone with a strategic consultant mindset who can quickly establish trust and learn the business in order to provide high-impact advice and partnership.

This is a great opportunity to be a strategic partner and drive meaningful impact within the organization.

We are open to candidates based in Vancouver, BC for a hybrid role (3 days per week in-office) or candidates located in Ontario interested in a remote position.

What you'll be doing...

Form a strategic partnership with your client group. You’ll be working closely with the go-to-market team to deeply understand their key business priorities and partner with them to provide tailored talent initiatives and advice to help achieve those priorities.

Drive manager effectiveness. You will provide direct partnership to our managers and coach them to be even more successful. You will also participate in the development and deployment of org-wide learning initiatives to expand the toolkits of our managers.

Facilitate the development of talent density. Work with leaders and stakeholders across teams to assess organizational needs and support the development of talent density in your client group.

Navigate Employee Relations. You will manage employee relations cases from start to finish, applying your existing knowledge of best practices and employment law alongside your deep understanding of business priorities, your creative thinking and consultation skills.

Champion data-driven decision-making. We created the industry leading people analytics platform and we want your help to ‘drink our own champagne’. Through our amazing software, leverage data insights to help leaders make better decisions.

Lead talent projects and initiatives. Roll up your sleeves and lead a centre of excellence within P&C.

What you'll bring to the table...

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including directly applicable experience as an HR Business Partner or other role providing direct partnership.
  • Relevant post-secondary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have worked in tech and have an understanding of SaaS company business models and economics. If you are new to tech, you are hungry to learn and research the industry.
  • Proven track record of strategic partnership and/or consultation to help organizations achieve results. You can speak to multiple initiatives you’ve led that had an impact on business outcomes.
  • Excellent business acumen and a broad view of critical thinking and problem solving that extends beyond just HR programming.
  • Have experience with, or a genuine curiosity to learn about, analytics and data-driven decision making practices. We promise our technology is as fun to use as it looks on our website!
  • Strong functional knowledge of Canadian and US employment law; not afraid to roll up your sleeves when you need to research a new jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.

Most importantly, you share our values...

  • You roll up your sleeves
  • You make it easy
  • You are proud
  • You never stop learning
  • You play to win

The base pay range for this position in Canada is $110k - $125k / year + bonus
