Procurement Contract Specialist

The Procurement Contract Specialist will be the primary purchaser facilitating Visier’s third-party technology, services, partnership, and marketing ecosystem. You aren't just "buying software"—you are a central hub of Visier purchasing responsible for ensuring that every dollar Visier spends on technology is an investment in our scalability and security. You will partner with internal business leaders to navigate vendor landscapes, structure contracts, and manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle. You will be the trusted expert who ensures our vendor partnerships are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with our long-term roadmap.
What You'll Be Doing...
- Serve as the purchasing contact for internal business units for all purchase transactions, including SaaS and technology purchases, marketing and event rentals and leasing, and professional services engagements.
- Efficiently drive all stages of the procurement process, from initial vendor discovery, to diligence and review, to final contract negotiation and execution, to post-signature record keeping and documentation, removing friction while maintaining consistent standards.
- Lead discussions with vendors on pricing, renewals, service level agreements (SLAs), and other commercial terms to ensure Visier receives maximum value and favorable risk profiles.
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent renewals and new acquisitions, ensuring contracts adhere to our internal governance, data privacy, and security policies.
- Monitor for and suggest opportunities for optimization in our current and evolving tech stack, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor selection is aligned to organizational goals.
- Champion best practices by enabling internal stakeholders to effectively scope requirements and manage vendor performance post-signature.
What You'll Bring to the Table...
- 2+ years of dedicated procurement experience, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
- A track record of negotiating and closing inbound technology deals.
- A high degree of autonomous operation, with a commitment to rigor, organization, and diligence necessary to ensure accurate and complete records and tracking of all company purchases
- The ability to review, understand, and make recommendations when it comes to contract language, risk acceptance, and acceptable compromises; you are the primary source for all contract reviews.
- Collaborative internal partnering, and a level of comfort navigating unfamiliar circumstances with poise and good judgment.
- Familiarity with modern procurement solutions, such as Coupa, Service Now, and Jira, an interest in leveraging AI for optimized results, and a working knowledge of G-Drive and its suite of products.
- A High-Velocity Mindset—you operate with urgency and precision, understanding that the business moves fast and procurement should be an accelerator, not a bottleneck.

The base pay range for this position in the $53,200 - 76,000 CAD / year + bonus
Benefits and working arrangements may vary depending on your seniority, location and employment type. The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
