POSITION OVERVIEW

The Outpatient Services (OPS)/School Based Services (SBS) Clinician provides, and family counseling in the outpatient center and home environments, and on-site in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) schools. This position includes a hybrid work schedule as an essential component of the role. The schedule will consist of a combination of on-site, school-based, community-based, and remote work to meet program needs. All hybrid arrangements are subject to supervisor approval and may be adjusted at any time based on client needs, documentation requirements, productivity expectations, staffing coverage, or agency policy. While hybrid work is a standard aspect of this position, the specific balance of on-site and remote work may vary and is not guaranteed.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Provides individual, group, and family counseling in clinic and field (school, home, community-based locations) 3-5 days a week, with the distribution of number of clinic vs field-based cases based on clinic and school-specific needs.
  2. Attends weekly supervision
  3. Attends monthly staff meetings
  4. Consults with school personnel, community partners and treatment team (social workers, psychiatrists, pediatricians, school teachers, etc.) to cultivate strong relations with schools and support client treatment and coordinate care.
  5. Must adhere to productivity requirements for DMH contract: expectations are monitored by unit of service completion and must be 50% of work week that is billable time;
  6. Completes all documentation in accordance with DMH, Medi-Cal, and agency guideline
  7. Work effectively within a milieu of professionals serving children and families while maintaining professionalism, collaboration, and trauma-informed practice.
  8. Performs job duties during scheduled work hours unless approved otherwise, and accurately records time worked in compliance with FLSA and agency.
  9. Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor consistent and related to above duties.

What You Bring to VDM?

This position has a bilingual requirement - English/Spanish speaking------------------------------------------------

  1. Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  2. Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an ACSW, AMFT, or APCC is required for candidates who have obtained their master’s degree.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of public-school systems and comfort working in school, home, and community-based setting

Salary: $68,640 - $70,304
