What We Need:
Our Budapest studio is seeking an Environment Artist to join our development efforts on the next iteration of the award-winning NBA 2K franchise! Within this role, you will partner with artists and team members to build beautiful yet performant environments and arenas through modeling, texturing, and set dressing.
No sports knowledge is required, just a positive individual who can craft incredible environments to deliver clean assemblies with your co-developer programmers. You will be amongst a graphic design centric Environment team, where we will work to support you, and other environment artists.

What You Will Do:
- Work with the art lead, art producer, and the environment team at large to create and populate environmental play spaces, pieces, and in-game cinematics
- Bring white-boxed spaces to life with visual storytelling, without detracting from gameplay
- Adhere to visual tenants of an established visual design, but push the boundaries of what is possible or expected
- Ensure assets are fully optimized and performant while minimizing impact on artistic integrity
- Proactively seek feedback to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with other artists and departments throughout the production process
Who Will Be A Great Fit:
- Excellent English communication verbal and written skills, especially with a remote team. Be an excellent written communicator on messaging and coworking systems like Slack, Figma, Miro, etc.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a digital art content creation pipeline
- Have a solid sense of color theory, composition, typography with current design trends.
- Curiosity to learn and assemble your work with our powerful proprietary game engine tools.
- Interface with design and engineering to implement final art into the game engine.
- Comfortable working in Maya and Adobe Suite.
- Be unyielding on naming conventions and understand the importance of them
- Have experience working with instanced art asset pipelines
- Learn and work predominantly in our proprietary assembly tool
- Know how to offer and take constructive criticism. Ability to take direction well.
- A strong work ethic is important – managing your own time, you pride yourself in having capacity to work autonomously.
- Able to diagnose and solve problems quickly and independently
