Nationwide

Vitable provides high-quality, accessible primary care to millions of Americans who need it most. We’re a health benefits platform that partners with businesses to serve their employees, many of whom are hourly workers. Our focus is on making healthcare simple and effective, moving past the common barriers of the traditional fee-for-service model.

  • Accurately document all patient encounters in Vitable’s EMR system
  • Serve as a collaborative physician for Nurse Practitioners in California, supporting oversight and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with internal clinical and support teams as needed
  • Follow Vitable Health clinical protocols and complete required onboarding and training
  • 10-15 hours per week ( 3-4 hours will be on weekends)

Qualifications

  • Active MD or DO license in good standing
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another primary care specialty
  • Active California medical license (required) and willingness to serve as a collaborative physician for NPs in CA
  • Licensure in 3–4 or more of the following MD-only states strongly preferred:
    • South Carolina (SC)
    • Tennessee (TN)
    • Alabama (AL)
    • Georgia (GA)
    • Indiana (IN)
    • Missouri (MO)
    • Louisiana (LA)
    • Mississippi (MS)
  • Minimum 1 year of post-residency clinical experience in a primary care setting
  • At least 6 months of telemedicine experience
  • Comfortable providing care via synchronous video visits
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMRs) and digital health tools
  • Strong diagnostic, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Passion for providing high-quality, patient-centered care

What We Offer

  • Flexibility: This is a fully remote, per diem position designed to fit your schedule.
  • Guaranteed Hourly Rate: You'll receive a competitive hourly rate for all time you are scheduled to be on-shift, regardless of whether you have a session booked. Your time is valuable, and we believe you should be compensated for your availability.
  • Meaningful Work: This role offers the unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals who may not otherwise have access to quality mental health support.
  • Supportive Community: While you work independently, you'll be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making mental healthcare more equitable and accessible for everyone.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
