Join the founding team to support a new employer-sponsored 24-hour onsite child care  client center and help build the high-quality program children deserve while pursuing your own professional growth and development.

About The Role

As a Head of School, you will:

  • Lead all aspects of school operations, including staffing, scheduling, enrollment management, and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and quality rating expectations
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood education
  • Create a world-class family experience, including enrollment, communication, retention, and community engagement
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative school culture for children, families, and staff
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate faculty through ongoing feedback, performance management, and professional development
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of school staff
  • Serve as the primary leader for people management and day-to-day HR-related matters

  • Are passionate about early childhood education and believe every child is capable and deserving of high-quality care
  • Have 4+ years of leadership experience in an early childhood or educational setting
  • Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s (preferred) degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience as required by state licensing)
  • Meet or exceed state-specific director qualifications for licensed child care centers 
  • Have experience with child-centered, inquiry-based, or developmentally appropriate curricula
  • Are knowledgeable about state licensing regulations and quality standards
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with families, children, and staff
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills
  • Are adaptable and a creative problem solver

Our newest center  in Huntsville, Alabama  is being specifically built to support the needs of the Toyota families, and will include the most up-to-date materials and equipment to ensure teachers have everything they need to deliver a high-quality educational experience.

To be considered, applicants must be based in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must also possess independent US work authorization. 


Physical demands of this position include but are not limited to sitting and standing for extended periods, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, and frequently moving or lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
