Trade Specialist II (Electrical & Automotive Background)

Vixxo is seeking a full-time Trade Specialist II to be based out of our Colwich, KS office. **Electrical and automotive background preferred.

THE ROLE:

The Trade Specialist II position is responsible for delivering expert general facilities support focused on specific clients and trades.  Experienced trade knowledge and background to evaluate complicated work tasks for clients with multiple locations requiring service or projects, and quotable work where the scope goes beyond normal repairs or established not to exceed (NTEs). The Trade Specialist III must be able to evaluate a Service Provider’s diagnosis and recommendations to determine fairness and accuracy consistent with agreed to terms and conditions; the evaluation should also consider alternative suggestions that could lower customer cost and/or decrease customer asset down time. Successful Trade Specialists must be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet service level agreements (SLA), have good communications skills to interact with other internal departments as well as Clients and Service Providers, and must have strong negotiation skills to meet cost savings commitments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Review and analyze ‘multi-trade’ proposals for accurate diagnosis, scope of work, labor requirements and costs.  Contact Service Providers to discuss scope of work and cost, and negotiate changes in scope and/or reductions in cost, as needed.  Discuss potential alternate cost effective/efficient solutions with Service Provider. Decision process may include ‘move forward’ recommendation, negotiating with service provider and/or suggesting alternative solutions to the Account teams and client.
  • Work with Account teams and other internal departments to achieve key results, such as corporate goals and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI).  Support the Account team with escalations, technical issues and potential problem sites/assets, including the compilation and review of asset repair history.
  • Establish and maintain Service Provider and Supplier/Manufacturer relationships.  Identify Service Provider utilization and performance metrics, and share feedback with Service Provider and Account teams.  Suggest increased utilization of top performing Service Providers to Account teams.  Coach poor performing Service Providers to improved performance.  Leverage national buying power with manufacturers and suppliers to procure lower cost material, on behalf of client.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s (4 years) Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant trade experience in field services including project management of multiple trades
  • Ability to support additional trades outside of core experience – IE. Roofing, Windows, Doors, Parking Lots
  • 2+ year(s) of price negotiation and profitable proposal creation
  • 3+ year(s) of customer service experience, recruitment or inside sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong understanding of facilities maintenance issues
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors and customers
  • Trade/ Journeyman license preferred
