The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Frontend Shopify Engineer to spearhead the development efforts for one of our exciting, fast-paced enterprise-level client accounts. In this pivotal role, you will drive key technical decisions, architect innovative Shopify solutions, and mentor a talented team of developers, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge commerce experiences.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready Shopify front-end code, including reusable components and theme areas, adhering to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Lead front-end development workstreams within an Agile environment, contributing to planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups, while mentoring junior developers.
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and technical teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and ensure seamless integration with marketing tools, platform APIs, and Shopify Apps.
  • Drive quality through code reviews, unit testing, accessibility improvements, and performance optimization, while staying current with evolving standards and technologies.
  • Own end-to-end development, from concept to delivery, including ongoing maintenance, scaling, and support of recruitment efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to address issues, escalate concerns, and present solutions.

What you should have:

  • Shopify Front-End Development Expertise: Deep proficiency in developing and maintaining high-quality, production-ready Shopify themes and custom storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Component-Based Architecture: Experience in developing reusable UI components and adhering to architectural standards and front-end best practices.
  • Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding and practical experience working within Agile development environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), including participation in planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead front-end development workstreams, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
  • API & Third-Party Integrations: Experience integrating with various marketing tools, platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Strong commitment to driving quality through rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Web Performance Optimization: Practical knowledge and experience in optimizing web performance for fast loading times and smooth user experiences.
  • Web Accessibility (WCAG): Understanding and application of web accessibility standards to ensure inclusive user interfaces.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent ability to collaborate effectively with design, marketing, and other technical teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver integrated features.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Capability to own the full development lifecycle, from concept and design to delivery, ongoing maintenance, and scalability.
  • Problem-Solving & Solution Design: Strong analytical skills to understand complex requirements, identify challenges, and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Technical & Non-Technical Communication: Exceptional communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders, and effectively present solutions or escalate concerns.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive approach to staying current with evolving web standards, technologies, and industry best practices

You will collaborate with our UK project team, so we’ll need you to be available until 18:00 PL

The gross salary for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. This range reflects our broader group’s compensation framework across diverse agencies and disciplines. For this specific role, our offer will be determined within this range based on our internal benchmark, reflecting the specific market conditions for our discipline. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.

In addition to the salary range provided, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our employees' well-being and professional growth. Poland Pay Range

15 000 zł - 31 667 zł PLN
