The opportunity:
We are looking for a Salesforce Commerce B2B Architect to lead the design of a new digital catering experience for AVE high‑speed trains. The goal of the project is to provide a platform that allows passengers to browse the food and beverage offering, place orders before or during the trip, and receive them at their seat or at the cafeteria bar, ensuring a smooth, accessible experience fully connected with the real‑time operation of each train (each cafeteria is managed as an independent store). The selected candidate will be responsible for defining the end‑to‑end architecture on Salesforce (mainly B2B Commerce), including the multi‑store model, catalogs, pricing, product availability, and integration with railway operation systems (train data, seats, coach/seat mapping), inventory, and order preparation. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, UX/UI, development, and integration teams to translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical designs, ensuring compliance with Salesforce best practices and quality standards. The architect will contribute to roadmap definition, user story and acceptance criteria elaboration, and support the development team throughout the entire project lifecycle (4 months), including integrated testing and go‑live.
What we want from you:
- Proven experience as Architect or Lead in Salesforce B2B Commerce.
- Design of end-to-end architectures on Salesforce (Commerce, Experience/Community, Service) for multi-store B2B scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of catalog models, pricing, promotions, order management, and checkout flows in B2B Commerce.
- Experience integrating with external systems via REST/SOAP
- Experience in eCommerce projects with multiple delivery points and strong dependency on real-world operations/logistics (e.g., transport, catering, hospitality).
- Ability to produce technical designs (architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, data models) and reference documentation for development teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Strong communication skills with business stakeholders
If you know some of this even better:
- Previous experience in eCommerce projects for transport, airlines, rail, or omnichannel retail/catering.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, ...
- Experience with integration platforms to orchestrate inventory, order, and real-time train status data.
- Knowledge of online and mobile payment solutions
- Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tools
- Sensitivity to UX/mobile-first and accessibility, especially for on-the-move experiences (phones, tablets, unstable networks).
