We’re looking for innovative, people-first team members who understand that culture is critical in our effort to positively impact the world’s transition to a carbon-free transportation future.

We are seeking an IT Architect & System Administrator to lead Voltera’s technology strategy, ensuring that our people, systems, and data operate securely, efficiently, and cohesively across the organization. This role will oversee corporate and field IT operations, establish best-in-class security and governance practices, and enable collaboration and data flow between teams — from commercial development to construction and operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on technology leader with experience in multi-site or infrastructure-heavy environments, capable of building a scalable IT foundation that supports Voltera’s growth trajectory and mission-driven culture.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead administration and optimization of enterprise systems including CRM, ERP, and collaboration tools.
  • Ensure secure network connectivity and data access across corporate and field environments.
  • Oversee cybersecurity framework, policies, and compliance with ISO, NIST, SOC2, and privacy standards.
  • Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Support integration of field and operational data into enterprise systems for visibility and reporting.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, service-oriented IT team focused on reliability and improvement.
  • Manage device lifecycle and asset management programs across the organization.
  • Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline data flows between field systems, analytics platforms, and enterprise tools. This may occasionally require hands-on integration development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

MUST-HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing corporate and distributed infrastructure
  • Proven success scaling IT systems and processes in a growth-stage or multi-site environment
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in infrastructure, networking, and enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS), MS 365 access controls, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Proven hands-on expertise with Salesforce (admin and development), NetSuite, and Power BI
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and integrating SaaS and cloud-based platforms across departments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
  • Deep commitment to operational reliability, data integrity, and customer-focused service delivery.

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in the energy, construction, utilities, or EV infrastructure industries
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, AWS, Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer
  • Familiarity with SOC2 Type-2, ISO 27001, NIST 2.0 environments
