Sr. Product Manager, Video API

The role is a great fit for an experienced product leader with a strong WebRTC background who understands CPaaS systems and enjoys working closely with developers.

What you'll do

  • Lead the vision, strategy and execution for functional areas of the Vonage Video API platform as part of a broader set of CPaaS APIs.
  • Work closely with current customers to deeply understand their needs and develop product experiences that are easy to implement and grow platform value.
  • Drive global cross-functional teams including engineering, PM, marketing, customer success, finance, data science, and business development to design a positive user experience as they transition from a legacy dashboard to the Vonage CPaaS APIs Dashboard.
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to identify trends, portfolio gaps and new product opportunities.
  • Define key metrics to evaluate product performance, with ability to analyze data, inform product decisions and measure success
  • Understand customer needs and collaborate with engineering and UX to translate into product requirements and user stories

What's required for application:

  • 6+ years as a Product Manager delivering client or cloud based platform products and features (SaaS or PaaS)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, customers, and executives.
  • Action oriented with an ability to leverage collaboration skills and initiative to get things done
  • Candidate must be able to manage relationships across groups  
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Experience identifying success metrics and analyzing data
  • Technical background in APIs & SDKs using WebRTC is expected
  • Strong technical software development background with the ability to prototype with the product APIs
  • Background in building real time video or voice based customer experiences
  • Background or experience in machine learning is a plus
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
