Join our Team as a Java Full Stack Engineer
We are looking for an ambitious and talented Software Engineer to join our new team. This team will be responsible for creating components adopted by various tools and systems. As a Java expert, you’ll play a crucial role in developing, testing, and maintaining High Availability Distributed Systems. Your expertise in AWS, Java Spring, and Kubernetes will be essential as we build and scale enterprise-level applications. Additionally, there’s an exciting opportunity to learn Vue.js and contribute to building customer-facing UI components.
About the Team
Our team is the driving force behind multiple communication solutions across various platforms within Vonage. This year, we're introducing a number of communication channels , which is a significant advancement in our quest to provide a comprehensive and unified contact center environment. We also oversee the Messaging domain in the Vonage Business app, a popular solution within VBC (Vonage Business Communications) with hundreds of thousands of daily users, both internally and externally. What You Will Do
Joining a new team will give you a great opportunity to make a significant impact on the team, the project, and the organizational culture. In this role, you’ll handle end-to-end projects with a strong focus on backend development. You’ll apply your expertise in Java to research, design, and develop high-performance systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, ensuring scalability, compatibility, and robustness while supporting large volumes of data and traffic. Your responsibilities will span from architecture and implementation to ensuring the seamless deployment of microservices-based applications through CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements for Consideration
- 3-5 years of commercial experience in full-stack development with a strong emphasis on Java (Java Spring)
- Extensive expertise in cloud and backend technologies, including AWS, ECS, Kubernetes, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), DynamoDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable, loosely coupled, and maintainable microservices
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deploying applications
- Proven track record of designing and developing end-to-end projects and collaborating effectively with global teams.
