Why this role matters:

This role is key to fueling the growth and success of Vonage’s API/CPaaS solutions, especially within the Enterprise segment. As a Key Account Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in building new relationships with tech-driven customers, focusing on large, high-growth organizations. With Vonage’s leadership in cloud communications, your efforts will directly help innovative companies integrate seamless communication solutions into their customer experiences, giving them a competitive edge in their industries.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle—from pipeline generation to close, and into post-sales and upsell.
  • Use a value-driven, solution-oriented sales methodology with a focus on customer engagement, authentication, and end-user communication use cases.
  • Contribute to the growth and adoption of Vonage’s communication and network APIs within the Enterprise segment.
  • Manage cross-functional opportunities from Pre-Sales to collaboration with Customer Success.
  • Establish a pipeline generation cadence to develop expansion opportunities and secure new target accounts.
  • Deliver impactful presentations of Vonage’s CPaaS product and vision to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to individual contributors, using Vonage’s value-based sales approach.
  • Provide timely, accurate forecasts and clear visibility into sales and revenue performance by actively managing your pipeline and pre-committed revenue deals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Sales Development, Pre-Sales, Legal, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success—to navigate complex sales cycles efficiently.

What you’ll bring:

Required:

  • Proven experience in Enterprise technology sales, SaaS, Cloud, or API-based communications, with a track record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business, with expertise in prospecting, territory planning, and identifying new customers through cold calling, lead generation, and networking.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with executives across business, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, creative, and curious mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Fluency in English.

Experience we consider a plus:

  • A solution-oriented sales approach that spans the entire delivery lifecycle, focused on building and maintaining a high-performing new business pipeline that exceeds targets.
  • Experience in mobile messaging/voice, cloud services, or mobile technology.
  • Proven ability to work closely with pre-sales teams to design innovative CPaaS solutions, especially for clients migrating their communication infrastructure to the cloud and integrating APIs into their customer experience flows.
  • If you have any language skills in Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian or Danish this would be a huge advantage.
