Role: Product Manager responsible for Developer Experience and Data Compliance across Vonage’s UCaaS and CCaaS application portfolios.

Why this role matters:
Reporting to the Head of Unfied (UC/CC) Experiences, you will be a critical member of the product management team. Your work will directly impact the developer community’s experience with Vonage’s Application APIs and tools, ensuring consistency, usability, and innovation. Additionally, you will drive international compliance efforts by focusing on data isolation and GDPR adherence, enabling Vonage to scale in new markets confidently.

You will own the developer ecosystem and compliance aspects of our portfolio, influencing the overall product strategy while delivering high-value outcomes to developers and customers alike.

What you will do:
Developer Experience Leadership

  • Own the developer experience across VBC and VCC, including API design, usability, and consistency.
  • Define and enforce API standards, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive experience for developers.
  • Oversee developer tooling, including SDKs, code snippets, guides, Postman collections, and webhook capabilities.
  • Serve as the key advocate for developers, embedding their needs into product roadmaps and delivery cycles.

Market Research and Customer Interface

  • Collaborate with our customer's developers to understand their needs and partner with them to refine tools and standards.
  • Work with key user groups to foster learning and collaboration within the developer community.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings in developer ecosystems to maintain a leading position.

Data Compliance and International Expansion

  • With the support of our compliance leaders, own and enhance Vonage’s data isolation strategy to meet global compliance standards such as GDPR.
  • Track and improve data localization capabilities to enable international growth.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure that evolving regulations are met effectively.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Define the strategic direction for developer experience and compliance, aligning with broader business goals.
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review developed solutions and ensure they meet defined standards and customer needs.

Go-to-Market & Revenue Generation

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Alliances to develop product-specific go-to-market strategies.
  • Support developer-facing events and webinars, representing Vonage’s developer tools and APIs.
  • Create and maintain product collateral, such as FAQs, white papers, and best practice guides.

What you will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of API ecosystems, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in delivering and growing successful developer-facing products, ideally in the SaaS or cloud communications space.
  • Solid understanding of data compliance requirements, including GDPR and data localization practices.
  • Experience in agile development practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate across functions.

What is required for application:
Required

  • Fluent in English.
  • 4+ years’ experience in product management, professional services, or developer-focused roles.
  • Familiarity with international compliance standards such as GDPR.

Desirable

  • Experience with SaaS developer tooling (e.g., SDKs, APIs, webhooks).
  • Knowledge of contact center or unified communication platforms.
  • Agile product management certification (e.g., SAFe).
