Why this role matters
We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead and coordinate internal software-related projects across the organization. As part of the central PMO office, this role will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of various projects spanning software product releases, internally developed solutions, and enterprise software deployments like Salesforce and ERP systems. The Project Manager will be crucial in the testing, BUAT, QA, and deployment phases of the software lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to the business.

What you'll do

Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with the business project sponsor.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and roadmaps.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Track and report on key project milestones, status updates, and budget considerations.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Act as the main point of coordination between Product, Engineering, and business teams.
- Engage with functional leads, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration without direct authority by leveraging influence-based leadership.
- Ensure clear communication of project goals, timelines, and expectations across all stakeholders.

Testing, BUAT, QA & Deployment Oversight:
- Take a lead role in coordinating testing, business user acceptance testing (BUAT), quality assurance (QA), and deployment activities.
- Ensure test plans and user acceptance criteria are well-defined, documented, and aligned with business needs.
- Work closely with business units to ensure proper test case execution and issue resolution before deployment.
- Manage go-live readiness, deployment planning, and post-implementation hypercare to ensure smooth transitions.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact system stability or business operations during deployment.

Process & Governance:
- Apply best practices in project management (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies) tailored to the project needs.
- Align project execution with the company’s governance framework, ensuring compliance with PMO standards.
- Lead project retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience in project management for software or high-tech industries.
- Proven experience managing projects without direct authority, leveraging stakeholder engagement and influence.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead projects through testing, BUAT, QA, and deployment phases, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and facilitate alignment between business and IT teams.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, MS Project).
