Senior Product Manager - Platform Services & Infrastructure

Bangalore - Hybrid

Join Vonage and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide!

Why this role matters:

As a Senior Product Manager for Platform Services & Infrastructure, you’ll own the foundation that powers every Vonage interaction—from global voice and messaging to AI-driven customer experiences. You’ll define the roadmap for scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and critical platform services including authentication, client event delivery, and API Gateway.

You will also lead the product roadmap for regulatory compliance across our platform—partnering with legal and compliance teams to turn evolving data protection requirements into scalable, auditable capabilities. This role is perfect for a technically deep product manager who can translate complex system architecture and compliance obligations into clear, actionable strategy that drives trust, reliability, and growth.

Your key responsibilities:

Platform scalability & roadmap

  • Forecast traffic growth over a 3-year horizon using real-time telemetry, usage trends, and pipeline insights.
  • Define and deliver scale targets regionally, supporting international growth and product velocity.
  • Own core shared services—Client Event Delivery, API Gateway, and Authentication—ensuring secure, low-latency, high-throughput performance.

Resilience & disaster recovery

  • Define and drive the achievement of recovery time targets for mission-critical services.
  • Run chaos engineering tests, orchestrate failover drills, and publish recovery scorecards to leadership and customers to build trust in platform resilience.

Service‑level ownership

  • Own public SLAs and internal SLOs, covering latency, availability, and error budgets.
  • Define, monitor, and publish external service commitments with clear metrics and accountability.
  • Enable go-to-market teams to position platform performance as a strategic advantage in sales, renewals, and analyst briefings.

Data compliance & regulatory readiness

  • Partner with legal, compliance, and security teams to identify regulatory gaps and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Own the product roadmap for platform compliance with global data protection and residency regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Sponsor and prioritise features that address compliance obligations while enabling product scalability and market access.

Cross‑functional impact

  • Collaborate with finance to connect infrastructure investment to growth and profitability—your planning will guide board-level decisions.
  • Enable Product and Sales teams to speak credibly about uptime, performance, and platform maturity in high-stakes conversations with customers and partners.

What you'll bring:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Background in software engineering or SRE (Java, Go, Node, or equivalent), with 2+ years of product leadership experience.
  • Proven success scaling multi-tenant SaaS or communications platforms.
  • Strong grasp of observability and incident management (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Experience deploying highly available services across multiple regions.

Experience we consider a plus:

  • Familiarity with the CCaaS or UCaaS industry.
  • Exposure to enterprise authentication and event-driven architecture.

How you’ll benefit:

Example benefits (variable by location):

  • Dynamic, collaborative environment with a high-performance culture.
  • Unlimited paid time off and flexible working hours.
  • Company pension/401k and life insurance.
  • Private medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Career development and structured progression opportunities.
  • Access to modern office spaces and collaboration tools.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
