Hours: 15-20 hours/week from 09/23/24 - 11/06/24 / 5 hours/week 11/07-11/22/24
Pay: $20.00/hour
This role requires the candidate to be on-site at one of the following Health Centers:
- Team Wellness Center - Detroit, MI
- MyCare - Detroit, MI
- Kinston Community Health - Kinston, NC
- Center for Black Women's Wellness - Atlanta, GA
- The LGBTQIA+ Community Center of Southern Nevada - Las Vegas, NV
- Adelante Healthcare - Phoenix, AZ
Job Summary:
The Community Health Center (CHC) Advocate will act as a liaison between the CHC and Vot-ER. They will partner with the Health Center to roll out Vot-ER initiatives such as using and implementing Vot-ER’s nonpartisan tools/resources and strengthening the relationship between Vot-ER and the CHC to ensure the continued longevity of the Community Civic Engagement Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support nonpartisan voter registration efforts for eligible patients and staff, including ‘Get Out the Vote’ efforts
- Respond to patient questions about nonpartisan voter registration, including those communicated through the CHC’s text messaging platform
- Work with Vot-ER staff and health center staff to implement nonpartisan Vot-ER initiatives
- Help Vot-ER build and maintain a strong relationship with the health center
- Facilitate communication between the health center and Vot-ER organizers and program staff

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working at a computer.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Traveling to the health center to complete hours
