Pay: $18.75/hour
Job Summary:
Vot-ER develops nonpartisan civic engagement tools and programs for every corner of the healthcare system—from private practitioners to medical schools to hospitals and community health centers. Our work is driven by a community of health care professionals, organizers, and clinical students united by a common vision: healthy communities powered by inclusive democracy. The Part-Time Vot-ER Partnerships Intern will support Vot-ER’s Partnerships team as we continue our work in 2025, prepare for 2025 local and state elections, and build for the 2026 electoral cycle at the local, state, and national levels. This role will help amplify our non-partisan tools, collaborations, and policy work, dependent upon team need and candidate interest/experience. Our work planning, building and executing is bold and deeply innovative, and we are committed to building systems that are responsive to the partners we collaborate with.
IMPORTANT: This internship is open specifically for current members of APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) and SNMA (Student National Medical Association) only.
This internship will focus on tasks supporting the Vot-ER Speaking Engagements team:
Vot-ER regularly attends and speaks at different types of health conferences and trainings.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate presentation materials for Vot-ER staff attending speaking engagements
- Compile and submit conference applications for 2025 and 2026 conferences
- Co-develop toolkits for event speakers
- Support overall partnership relationship building through intentional outreach
- Cross-team collaboration to build the right systems and structures to inspire healthcare professionals to use Vot-ER’s tools to engage voters and potential voters
- Researching best practices, capturing case studies from others engaged in said efforts, and generating user-friendly toolkits to build broader civic engagement systems within health care institutions
- Adopting existing Vot-ER tools to best reflect particular communities’/partners’ needs for civic engagement actions
- Supporting Vot-ER relationships with different stakeholders such as academic institutions, national and state level associations, coalition partners, etc.
- Innovating new ways to build civic engagement into health care systems to increase the numbers of people registered to vote and ultimately turning out to vote

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's student in any health-related track (i.e. Pre-Med, Public Health, Healthcare Management, etc.)

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working at a computer
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
