Position Description:

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and analyzing functional estimates & pricing including labor, subcontracts, ODC and material for Voyager proposals. Activities include analyzing RFP/RFI/ROM requirements, coordinating with performing organizations to develop pricing, supporting internal proposal reviews, supporting customer audit/fact findings, and providing negotiation support. The selected candidate will work closely with departmental functional personnel in their development of basis of estimates that meet established proposal quality standards. The Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the pricing team, providing pricing strategies, driving pricing proposal inputs and ensuring pricing deliverables meet proposal deadlines. 

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement scalable pricing strategies for products and services across the aerospace portfolio and business units.
  • Partner with Finance or other related cross-functional teams to track actual cost against estimates within ERP and CRM systems, and implement process improvements where necessary.

Proposal and Bid Support:

  • Lead pricing efforts for RFPs, RFQs, and large contract proposals, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS if in a government/defense setting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input from Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Legal during bid preparation when applicable.
  • Ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Voyager Technologies policies and procedures regarding cost proposal preparation, review, compliance, submission, updates/revisions, and negotiations.
  • Thoroughly understand cost burdening to accurately build up proposal costs

Cost & Margin Analysis:

  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, Operations to develop cost models and ensure pricing supports target margins and financial goals. Assist in the development and implementation of the Commercial Product Line pricing. 
  • Work with Supply Chain to take advantage of quantity buy procurements and long-term pricing agreements as part of overall Material/Subcontract pricing strategies.
  • Review financial risk analyses in support of pricing and proposal strategies, ensuring alignment with programs and business objectives.

Price Management & Optimization:

  • Maintain and update price lists, discounting structures, and customer pricing files on a regular, ongoing basis.
  • Implement pricing tools or systems to streamline pricing governance and approval processes.
  • Implement pricing using a Std WBS 881.
  • Prepares and presents cost estimates to management, customer representatives and government audit agencies.
  • Supports audit requests, fact-finding, and negotiation discussions and the program budget baseline process.
  • Creates/administers pricing databases and coordinates implementation of pricing proposals across the enterprise.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine pricing tools and templates to continue to strengthen pricing pipeline.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Provides reviews of all estimates prior to delivery and review by Legal, Contracts, and other senior management stakeholders.
  • Interacts with personnel and management at all levels, interfaces, and coordinates with other business management personnel as required.
  • Present pricing strategies and analytics to senior leadership and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Provide training and support to cross-functional teams on pricing, estimating methods, and cost management best practices.
  • Support sales and account management teams with strategic pricing guidance and negotiation tactics.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial operations – ideally in aerospace, defense, aviation, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost structures, pricing models, and financial metrics (e.g., gross margin, contribution margin).
  • Advanced Excel (to include building and maintaining complex models), ERP/MRP systems (Net Suite), and pricing software/tools.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS, TINA, and other Government procurement regulations as they pertain to bid/costing proposals, including a comprehensive knowledge of FAR Part 15 and 31.
  • Experience in bidding to different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
  • Experience and understanding of statistical analysis and limitations thereof (sample size implications, statistical power, forecast error, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • US Citizen

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.

Work Environment:

  • This position will be hybrid with up to 50% travel to Voyager Technologies sites (CO, CA, TX, OH)
  • May require occasional travel to customer sites, manufacturing locations, or industry events.
