Job Summary:
The Corporate Development & Strategy team at Voyager Technologies leads the company’s acquisition and strategic investment efforts across defense, national security, and space technology. They identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that strengthen Voyager’s portfolio, expand core capabilities, and accelerate growth through partnerships with innovative startups and established industry leaders.
The Corporate Development & Strategy Associate will conduct research on areas of the market into which Voyager Technologies is considering expansion, evaluate the capabilities of potential targets, research previous M&A transactions, maintain a pipeline of potential opportunities, value businesses, and assist in due diligence and deal execution
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive industry and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage the full lifecycle of an M&A transaction, from initial opportunity identification and due diligence to deal negotiation, closing, and post-acquisition integration.
- Perform financial modeling, pulling comparable M&A transactions and public comparables; assemble valuation models with the ability to run scenario and sensitivity analyses on critical inputs that drive a particular business case.
- Learn Voyager Technologies’ business top-to-bottom and regularly interact with colleagues and senior executives across the entire organization, especially within the technology, products, legal, and finance teams.
- Help translate complex financial and technical findings into clear, concise recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, advisors, consultants, and other industry professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, equity research, private equity, or venture capital.
- Intrinsically motivated and relentlessly proactive.
- Strong analytical aptitude: think about problems in terms of numbers and models and can execute complex analyses quickly in Excel.
- Proven ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Comfortable communicating broadly across the organization and having lots of eyes on your work product.
- Ability to manage extremely confidential projects with very sensitive information and always exhibit excellent judgement.
- Ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a technology-related sector, specifically Defense Technology or at the intersection of hardware & software.
- Preference for experience within Aerospace / Defense or Industrials.
