The Social Media Community Manager for marketing and communications is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of Voyager’s digital and social media presence across corporate platforms.
The position reports to the Director, Marketing & Communications and is part of marketing and communications based in El Segundo, CA or Washington D.C. This role is responsible for executing Voyager’s social media calendar, monitoring conversations across platforms and ensuring timely, accurate and brand-aligned interactions with audiences that include policymakers, industry leaders, customers, employees and the broader space community. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage multiple channels simultaneously while maintaining message discipline, speed and attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Manage day-to-day publishing across Voyager’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook and emerging channels, ensuring content is scheduled and deployed accurately and on time.
- Monitor and engage with social media audiences by responding to comments, questions and relevant conversations in a professional, brand-aligned manner while escalating sensitive issues when necessary.
- Identify relevant industry conversations, trends and opportunities where Voyager can participate and add value to the broader aerospace, defense and commercial space dialogue.
- Contribute to Voyager’s social media content calendar, coordinating closely with the marketing communications and program teams on relevant content
- Support the promotion of major company milestones including launches, announcements, partnerships, events and thought leadership initiatives.
- Ensure all social media activity aligns with Voyager brand guidelines, messaging frameworks and corporate communications protocols.
- Assist in preparing social media coverage for events, conferences and speaking engagements, including real-time posting when required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3–5 years of professional experience managing social media platforms for a brand, media organization or technology company using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of major social platforms including LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook, along with best practices for engagement and content distribution.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce concise, engaging social media copy aligned with AP style in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting social media communications within aerospace, defense, technology or other highly technical industries.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and content management platforms.
The good faith base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
