The Material Planner at Voyager Technologies is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the flow of materials and components to support production schedules and operational goals. This role ensures materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost—while minimizing inventory levels and waste.
The Position reports to Manager, Supply Chain Management and is part of the Supply Chain Department. This role is On-Site based in San Diego, CA.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) aligned with production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure on-time material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or excesses, and take corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Analyze demand patterns and adjust planning parameters—including lead times, safety stock, and reorder points—accordingly.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, expediting, and order confirmations.
- Generate and review planning reports, KPIs, and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and resolve material discrepancies, over/under-stock situations, and supply chain bottlenecks.
- Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and cross-functional projects; support ERP system maintenance including item master data, BOMs, and routings as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field; or 6+ years of equivalent experience in material planning or supply chain in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain roles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Jobboss (E2), or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of MRP/MRPII and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with material movement, warehouse operations, demand planning, or replenishment systems.
Background in manufacturing, aerospace, space, or distribution environments.
The good faith base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
