The Materials and Logistics Coordinator will be located onsite in Penrose, CO and reports to Energetics Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is responsible for coordinating logistics, shipping, and receiving activities and supporting material readiness ensuring that materials are in the right place at the right time -- while maintaining the rigorous compliance standards required in a defense manufacturing environment.
In this role, the essential functions are:
- Schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments; coordinate associated purchase orders and related documentation.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to ensure the timely flow of materials to production and R&D operations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, including serialized and lot-tracked materials that support production traceability and audit readiness. Support compliance with defense supply chain and regulatory requirements, including DFARS, ITAR, ISO9001 and AS9100.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and State and Federal background checks.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses.
- Ability to use a forklift and manually lift, carry, or move items up to 50 lbs.
- High attention to detail and documentation discipline for traceability and compliance.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and in Excel and capable of generating analytical reports for management and compliance audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in chemical, space or defense manufacturing.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar MRP systems.
Government Mandated Requirements:
- Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS 252.226-7003 and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.
The good faith base salary range for this role is $23.00 to $28.00 per hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
