Specialty Floater Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Surgical Centers in Vienna is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team at our Vienna location. This role will work primarily with our boarded surgeons and residents in our surgery service, but will also have the opportunity to work with our boarded neurologist and their team.
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families
- Conduct physical assessments and document findings accurately
- Assist in medical surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and fluid administration
- Performing all laboratory in-hospital procedures and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories
- Maintain and prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and specialty equipment
- Educate clients on home care and follow-up procedures
- Prepare treatment estimates and discuss financial commitments with clients
- Ensure proper inventory management and communicate supply needs
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical records

REQUIREMENTS
- Active LVT or RVT license in Virginia (or eligibility for transfer)
- Experience in specialty veterinary medicine and/or small animal anesthesia, as well as certification (CVT, RVT, LVT) is required
- VTS (Anesthesia or Surgery) members are HIGHLY encouraged to apply
- We are willing to consider licensed or certified candidates with less experience who have a strong desire to advance their knowledge and practice of anesthesia
- Strong knowledge of canine anatomy and rehabilitation practices
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning
