Staff Product Designer

Brazil

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced Staff Product Designer ready to lead end-to-end design processes, balancing strong UX and UI skills? Join our team and play a key role in shaping digital product experiences for VTEX customers and end consumers. You will influence product strategy, lead design initiatives from concept to launch, and mentor fellow designers — all while ensuring that our products deliver simple, elegant, and effective user experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to translate complex product needs into intuitive, high-quality solutions. Your work will involve defining and articulating a clear UX vision through engaging narratives, presentations, and design artifacts such as user flows, concept mockups, high-fidelity prototypes, and usability tests. You will also plan and conduct research with VTEX customers (merchants) and end consumers (e-commerce shoppers), negotiate timelines and technical decisions, and facilitate design sprints and workshops to foster collaboration and drive innovation.

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaborating across teams to deliver consistent solutions within a complex product ecosystem, who can strategically evolve early-stage products while also developing new features to increase adoption. You will need to balance short- and long-term demands, defining strategies for the future while driving incremental improvements, and identifying, categorizing, and prioritizing opportunities based on customer and consumer needs.

ABOUT THE TEAM

At VTEX, you will join our Product Design team, which works at the intersection of strategy, technology, and creativity. Our mission is to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences across VTEX’s ecosystem of digital products, helping merchants and end consumers navigate the e-commerce world with ease.

We work on products at different stages — from early-stage innovation to mature platforms — and partner with multiple teams to define the future of our product experiences. As a Staff Designer, you’ll be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on creator, leading design work while mentoring other designers. You’ll also collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product managers to ensure our solutions are not only visually compelling but also functional, scalable, and aligned with user needs.

  • Strong ability to estimate effort and impact, negotiate execution and timelines, and facilitate design sprints and workshops to drive innovation and align cross-functional teams.
