ABOUT THE ROLE

The VTEX Account Executive is the sales representative of the Company, having ownership of the sales process. The Account Executive is responsible both for generating new sales opportunities and for managing opportunities generated by the Company’s multiple sales channels. This person is responsible for the management of the entire sales cycle, from sales strategy design, opportunity identification, local target list management, contact and engagement, solution demonstration, negotiation and closing. VTEX requires that its Account Executives be VTEX Ads specialists, being able to fully understand the requirements of their prospects, and to have a technical knowledge to demonstrate the solution.

This is a brand-new team where you'll play a key role as part of the founding group, helping to shape the future of the ecommerce media experience. VTEX Ads is the largest Retail Media consolidator in Latin America, offering an end-to-end operation that supports both advertisers and retailers across all areas of the business — from cutting-edge technology to the development of a dedicated retail media organization.

The VTEX Ads Retail Media Network is a 360º solution that enables the creation and management of onsite, offsite, and in-store campaigns — including physical retail locations. Leveraging powerful AI-driven models, our platform helps advertisers identify the best products to promote — across a network of leading retail players — while ensuring campaigns reach the right customer, at the right time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage a portfolio of clients (agencies and direct advertisers), with a strong focus on business development and revenue growth;
  • Prospect, negotiate, and close partnerships with advertisers and agencies, connecting them to the media solutions offered by our retail network;
  • Act in a consultative manner, understanding clients’ business goals and translating them into customized, data-driven media proposals;
  • Translate marketing needs into solutions using the assets available in the retail media portfolio;
  • Keep the CRM system (Pipedrive and Salesforce) up to date with accurate information on pipeline, forecasts, and deal status;
  • Identify market trends, upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our commercial offering;
  • Help strengthen the company’s positioning as a retail media leader by participating in events, strategic meetings, and executive presentations.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Someone with previous experience in media sales or marketing solutions, preferably in digital media, retail media, adtech, or trade marketing;
  • You are humble and able to recognize when to connect the right VTEX professionals with the client decision-makers, ensuring the best sales approach and guaranteeing conversion;
  • You can learn and adapt quickly;
  • You tackle problems with a business-oriented approach;
  • Able to navigate across different stakeholders (marketing, trade, media, e-commerce), building strategic and trust-based relationships;
  • Strong storytelling and commercial pitch skills, with a focus on data and results;
  • Analytical and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously;
  • Solid understanding of the digital media ecosystem and retail/consumer dynamics;
  • Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency;
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus;
  • Having connections with media buyers from agencies and advertisers could be a key differential.
