Growth Events Specialist

Chicago, Illinois; Manhattan, New York; Miami, Florida

About The Role

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused, and results-driven Growth Events Specialist to drive our event strategy and execution across North America. This role is critical to generating demand and accelerating pipeline by designing and delivering impactful branded and third-party events aligned with our two key ICPs (Ideal Customer Profiles): B2B/Industrial and Omnichannel/Retail.
You will play a hands-on role across the full event lifecycle—identifying the right opportunities, setting clear goals, developing target account strategies, and delivering experiences that move prospects through the funnel. You’ll work closely with GTM stakeholders to ensure every event is tied to business outcomes.
*For NYC and Miami, you are required to attend the office 4 days a week (Monday–Thursday), and remote work on Friday; For Chicago, this position is remote.

Responsibilities

Strategic Event Execution
Own the planning and execution of revenue-oriented events—including third-party trade shows, branded executive dinners, summits, and webinars—focused on lead generation, qualification, and progression through the pipeline.
ICP-Centric Targeting
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and partnerships to define event targets based on each ICP, align messaging, and drive attendance from key accounts.
Third-Party Events Ownership
Manage sponsorships end-to-end: event selection, booth design, asset production, logistics, on-site presence, and follow-ups.
Branded Activations
Develop and execute owned experiences (e.g., roundtables, customer showcases, VIP dinners) that support account engagement and pipeline acceleration.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with sales, product marketing, and regional leadership to align on goals, messaging, and tactics for each event.
KPI Definition & ROI Measurement
Establish success metrics before each event, track performance, analyze ROI, and optimize for future impact.
Budget & Vendor Management
Manage event budgets effectively while ensuring high-quality execution; negotiate with vendors and handle timelines across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
Innovation & Optimization
Continuously bring new ideas to engage our audience in relevant ways, challenge the status quo, and elevate VTEX's presence in the North American market.

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation, preferably in B2B SaaS or eCommerce tech.
  • Proven ability to lead event strategy with a strong execution mindset.
  • Comfortable working across teams to build ICP-driven targeting and pipeline-focused programs.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Data-driven, with experience setting and reporting on event KPIs.
  • Confident communicator and collaborator, able to influence across departments and seniority levels.
  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools is a plus.
