IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be first contact for technical assistance across our office and manufacturing facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring our team has the tools they need to succeed, maintaining high system uptime, and supporting the digital infrastructure required for business operations. This role requires a blend of technical troubleshooting, customer service excellence, and a proactive approach to maintaining a secure, regulated environment. 

Responsibilities

  • End-User Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues, including laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and office equipment. 
  • Onboarding & Lifecycle Management: Execute the IT onboarding and offboarding process, including hardware provisioning, account creation, and user training on IT policies and security best practices. 
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, servers, and industrial devices within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Assist in enforcing cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and ITAR/EAR requirements, ensuring all workstations and devices remain compliant and secure. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate asset inventory, software licenses, and technical documentation for internal processes and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to support automation and data collection workflows. 
  • Azure: Support Azure AD (Entra ID) user accounts, assist with MFA setup, and help maintain access to Azure-hosted resources. 
  • Microsoft 365: Administer M365 tenant including user licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune. 
  • Ubiquiti: Troubleshoot Ubiquiti UniFi network equipment including switches, access points, and gateways. 
  • SharePoint: Manage SharePoint site permissions, document libraries, and access controls. 
  • Active Directory: Maintain on-prem AD including user/group management, GPO enforcement, and OU structure; support hybrid identity with Entra Connect and enforce least-privilege access. 
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, including tracking device lifecycle, and equipment assignments across office and manufacturing facilities.
     
    Responsibilities and tasks outlined are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the business. 

Qualifications 

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration, preferably in a manufacturing or high-security regulated environment. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration, and basic networking  
  • Security Mindset: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CMMC) and experience working within ITAR/EAR export-controlled environments is highly preferred. 
  • Problem Solving: A hands-on "fixer" mentality with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues independently. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a manufacturing environment, including occasional work on ladders or in server rooms. 
  • Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+

    Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
