Vultr is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing initiatives across our enterprise hardware, software, and infrastructure services. This is a newly created role for a self-starter who thrives in high-growth environments and is eager to build and mature a strategic procurement function from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization—particularly within the cloud infrastructure or technology services industries. What to expect:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend areas, including enterprise server hardware, data center services, and software/SaaS applications, supporting the negotiation and execution of complex, high volume/value initiatives.
- Independently manage complex sourcing initiatives and contribute to team scaling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and procurement leadership to align procurement strategies with business priorities.
- Design and manage RFx processes for competitive evaluation and strategic vendor selection.
- Identify and execute cost savings opportunities for key categories.
- Establish and manage supplier performance benchmarks, reviews, and governance (QBRs, SLAs, KPIs).
- Contribute to the development of procurement policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
Our new team member will need:
- 5-7 years in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years focused on technology categories (hardware, software, services).
- Proven success in, fast-paced start-up environments, preferably in technology or telecommunications, and within global, matrixed organizations. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex sourcing (RFx) and negotiate multi-million-dollar technology contracts, including enterprise-level agreements for IT hardware, SaaS, Data Centers and infrastructure. Proven experience driving substantial cost savings, vendor optimization, and procurement process improvements.
- A highly analytical and structured approach to solving complex and often ambiguous problems.
- Familiarity with Cloud services, data center ecosystems, enterprise software licensing. Proficiency with ERP and sourcing tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Scout).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Highly Preferred Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM®) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP®). Six Sigma, Lean, or project management certifications are advantageous.
Compensation
$110,000 - $140,000
